Reality Bites (1994) - haven't seen it ***
The Cable Guy (1996) - I saw it a long time ago and I barely remember it. It didn't get good reviews. ***
There’s Something About Mary (1998) - It was very funny back in the day but I'm not sure how well it's held up ****
Mystery Men (1999) - I loved this movie when I was a young kid. I liked the guy who threw spoons and I remember being too young to understand the joke about a menstruating super hero. ****
Meet the Parents (2000) - I saw this movie many times. This is the beginning of "awkward everyman" Ben Stiller. Robert Dinero is having fun in this one. **
Zoolander (2001) - Classic. *****
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) - Classic. I liked the part with Elliott Smith and Nico soundtrack. *****
Duplex (2003) - Saw it in theatres it was dumb I think. **
Along Came Polly (2004) - Never saw it. **
Starsky & Hutch (2004) - Saw it on a date in the eighth grade. I liked the part where he said "Do it". Not a good movie though. Never saw the tv show. ***
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) - Thought it was very funny at the time. I don't think it has probably aged that well but I don't care to review it. ***
Meet the Fockers (2004) - Sequel to Meet the Parents (leading role played by Stiller his last name is Focker in the film). *
Madagascar (2005) - Animated film for children with Ben Stiller voicing an animal. Never saw it, not the target demographic when it came out I was 14. **
Night at the Museum (2006) - Live action film for children about Stiller getting locked in a museum where animals comes to life. Never saw it ***
Blades of Glory (2007) - Saw this in theatres when it came out and I just remember thinking that this confirmed that the lead guy from Napoleon Dynamite would be a one-film wonder. **
Tropic Thunder (2008) - Thought this was very funny when it came out, close in tone to Zoolander. Some eof the jokes have aged poorly. **
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008) - Didn't see this but it is a creative way to signal that this is a sequel. **
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009) **
Greenberg (2010) - Serious film. Kind of like when Adam Sandler and Jim Carey both started doing serious films. Not as a good as 'Punch Drunk Love'. (just a guess, I didn't see it). *
Little Fockers (2010) - Third meet the parents movie. If you hadn't heard of the second film or seen the first you might not have been able to infer this. Didn't see it ***
Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted (2012) - Didn't see this children's movie I was too busy finishing up college. ***
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) - Didn't see it. **
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014) *
Zoolander 2 (2016) - Didn't see it but it was supposed to be horrible.
The ben stiller show had its moments, though and Jerry Stiller is very funny in Seinfeld and also in Zoolander.
Other funny stiller facts:
- He was in Extras and played an asshole version of himself like a lot of the cameos in that show. I liked the part where he yelled at the child actor.
- He is friends with Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit. He appears in the "Rollin'" music video.
